Sakana S. Coop. was created in 1975 due to the tenacity of a group of local entrepreneurs who, while being part of the ‘Caja Laboral Popular’ industrial and financial group, saw the future long-term success for a heavy casting venture in the region.

From its beginnings, Sakana has geared its activities towards the Motor and Tool-Machinery industries. With the passage of time it has diversified its production towards more complex sectors – from a geometrical and metallurgical viewpoint -, such as the fluid and power sectors.

Sakana has continued with its policy of constant investment. This investment plan was started in 2003 reaching 7 million euros, and achieving a production capacity of up to 12,000 tons per year. However, this capacity will be increased to 15,000 tons per year in the not too distant future.
